PRIVACY POLICY FOR APPALACHIA WOODS
Effective date: August 6, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how APPALACHIA WOODS (the “App”) handles information. The App is an offline-capable wood-enterprise management application for use in the United States. The package name is com.appalachia.woods.enterprise.management.app. Questions may be sent to dev@appalachiawoods.store.
2. App identity and purpose
The App provides local tools for inventory, customers, suppliers, estimates, cash-only orders, deliveries, expenses, notifications, activity history, reports and workspace settings. It does not require an account or authentication.
3. Information entered by the user
Users may enter business-operational information such as inventory descriptions, dimensions, quantities, prices, customer or supplier contact details, addresses, order notes, delivery details, expenses, estimates and preferences. This information is entered voluntarily for the App’s local management features.
4. Information collected automatically
The App does not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, call logs, messages, biometric data or background activity. It does not include advertising, analytics SDKs or a remote account service.
5. Local data storage
Operational records and preferences are stored locally on the device using Android application storage. Application backup is disabled in the manifest. The App does not upload its local database to an APPALACHIA WOODS server.
6. Permissions
The App requests no Android runtime or dangerous permissions. It does not request location, camera, photo, file, microphone, contact, phone, SMS, calendar, Bluetooth, nearby-device, notification or biometric permission. The manifest also does not request Internet permission.
7. Internet access and external actions
The App’s normal features work without network access. When a user taps an email, phone or share action, Android may hand the selected content to a compatible external application. That external application and its provider process information under their own terms and privacy policies. The App does not send the content before the user chooses an external application and completes the action.
8. Third-party services
The App does not integrate advertising networks, analytics services, online payment processors, cloud databases, live mapping, crash-reporting SDKs or social sign-in. Android system components may be used to open external email, dialer or sharing applications at the user’s request.
9. Payments
The App records cash-at-delivery or cash-at-pickup information for operational purposes. It does not collect card numbers, bank credentials, wallet credentials or cryptocurrency information, and it does not process online payments.
10. Images and content
Bundled wood and lumber images are stored inside the App and are credited as public-domain or CC0 materials in IMAGE_CREDITS.txt. The App does not download those images at runtime.
11. Data sharing
The App does not sell, rent or automatically share local operational data. Information is shared outside the App only when the user deliberately invokes an external email, phone or share action and then continues in the selected external application.
12. Data retention and deletion
Local records remain on the device until the user edits or deletes them, restores the sample data, clears the App’s storage through Android settings, or uninstalls the App. Removing the App or clearing its storage deletes the locally stored records from that installation, subject to device-level behavior outside the App’s control.
13. Security
The App relies on Android application sandboxing and local application storage. Users should protect their device with appropriate screen-lock and operating-system security. No storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure, especially on a compromised or rooted device.
14. Children’s privacy
The App is a business operations tool and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a remote service.
15. User choices
Users may choose what operational information to enter, may remove editable records, may disable optional local interface preferences, and may avoid external email, phone or share actions. The App remains usable without granting runtime permissions.
16. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated when the App’s features or data practices change. A revised policy should state a new effective date and must continue to match the released source code and dependencies.
